Land Reservation Committee, headed by CS Mumtaz shah, also granted land for establishing Public Desert Safari Park at Mithi and several other projects in Sindh
Karachi: The land Reservation Committee, which met here Thursday with Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah in the chair, approved earmarking 300 acre land for establishing N. E. D. University of Engineering & Technology Karachi’s Tharparkar Campus and another 10 acre land for developing Public Desert Safari Park at Mithi.
The Committee also sanctioned granting of land for several other public sector departments in the province.
According to decisions, 100 acre land was allocated for establishing landfill site at Sukkur; 10 acre land for Sindh Madrassatul Islam University Karachi for establishing its Campus in District West; 90 acre land for establishing Police Line and another 4 acre for Police Station at Jamshoro; 4 acre land for Govt. Boys Degree College Daharki and 2 acre land for Govt. Comprehensive School at Shah Karim Bulri.
Chief Secretary Mumtaz Ali Shah directed the concerned officers to properly pursue the cases relating to the land pending in the courts.
Senior Member Board of Revenue Sindh Qazi Shahid Pervez, Secretary Finance Hassan Naqvi, Secretary Land Utilization, Aijaz Hussain Baloch, Secretary Local Government Roshan Ali Shaikh, Secretary Universities and Boards Muhammad Riazuddin and others attended the meeting while Commissioners of Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas and Sukkur and concerned Deputy Commissioners joined the meeting via video link.
