AGT Coordinators

From Lesotho with Love

Lesotho’s great performance in registering for the Africa Got Talent Auditions has put them in the driving seat compared to all the other 53 African Countries across the African Continent. From the moment she was identified as Africa Got Talent Ambassador and Coordinator in Lesotho, Mme Matseliso Mohale has been working around the clock to mobilize Basotho to join Africa Got Talent in big numbers, and she is fast achieving her objectives in this regard. This led to a fair decision for the Founder of Africa Got Talent Ntate N!xau Kealeboga Gift Mogapi to start his 54 African Country on Lesotho and herein below, is his official statement following his Lesotho visit and experience.

Here is the message from Monghali N!xau KG Mogapi, Founder and Executive Producer of Africa’s Got Talent after his visit to Maseru, Lesotho. This was the first leg of the five (5) visits to five (5) Regional Blocks of the African Continent by Africa’s Got Talent led by the Founder himself:

“This was obviously not my first time in Lesotho because I have been in here on a number of occasions for different reasons end coming to Lesotho now on a mission for Africa is Got Talent, is completely different and it gives me a different perspective of what Lesotho is all about.

It is evident that Basotho have warmly welcomed and embraced Africa Got Talent completely, thanks to the unquestionable commitment of our representative, Mme Matseliso Mohale. Her commitment to entrenching the principles of Africa Got Talent is beyond evident and thereby highly appreciated.

Let me also take this opportunity to thank Lesotho media in general, newspapers, magazines, radio and television for affording us the opportunity to introduce in the present AGT to Basotho. It was quite refreshing to work with media that is hungry for publishing and broadcasting positive, constructive and authentic news to their audiences, listeners and readers alike. I am humbled by your approach and I hereby request that you continue on that trajectory without fail, and that way, you will positively and constructively contribute to building a Nation instead of destroying it.

Being in your country and interacting with you at different levels gave me confirmation of why that establishing AGT was a correct and monumental as well it is historical decision. It is very clear that this was a long overdue project for Basotho, and I have no doubt in my mind that this is the same for all the 54 countries in the African continent.

Well done and congratulations to Basotho who have and continue to show interest of participating in Africa Got Talent. A high number of registrations for auditions by Basotho is a clear indication of the commitment that the citizens of this country shows their approval, support, believe and trust in this project. It is therefore incumbent upon us at Africa Got Talent not to disappoint in this regard. Like all Africans across the Continent and in the diaspora, it is clear that all Africans deserve a platform like Africa Got Talent to positively and constructively contribute to the establishment, development, and sustenance of their authentic talents.

The work has begun in earnest for the preparations of the auditions for Africa Got Talent in Lesotho. We are in the process of putting together a formidable, passionate and resolute team that will be responsible for the day to day activities of Africa Got Talent in Lesotho. Once this team has been finalized, auditions in all the 10 districts of Lesotho will start immediately.

My visit in Lesotho has empowered and made me aware of the fact that there is a need to put proper structures in place with the objective of assisting to elevate Basotho who have interest of participating in Africa Got Talent so that by the time the competition is at the continental level, Basotho who will be participating, will be at the same level of readiness as the rest of the continent, particularly with those countries with more and better resources, of which gives them an added advantage over countries that are not at the same level. It can only be fair to ensure that all participants from all 54 African countries participate and compete at an equal footing.

Considering the high level of interest ad participation in Africa Got Talent by Basotho, I sincerely hope and pray that one if not a few of our winners will come from Lesotho.

Congratulations in advance and we hope to see you at the auditions and then at the finals of Africa Got Talent where the winners will be announced.”
