Desert district Tharparkar is rich in heritage sites, and we should own it; workshop on Composite Heritage held

Mithi: A one-day training workshop on ‘Composite Heritage’ was held by SEARCH Organization at Search Training Hall Mithi on Saturday, and was attended by more than 30 educational and social volunteers.

The trainer Mr. Maha Dev Makwano said that the Composite Heritage helps us to establish unity and peace in the region. “It promotes culture, rituals, language and creates interfaith harmony,” he added.

“There are so many heritage sites such as Karoonjhar Mountain, Jain Temples and Naukot Fort in Tharparkar. Every year thousands of people use to visit these historical heritage sites. There are numerous examples in the desert, which can be highlighted from the rich heritage of the desert.”

“We all have to own this heritage and work together to save these sites,” he exhorted.

Speaking on the occasion, social activist Sarang Ram Mathrani said that we should own the cultural heritage of our region and highlight the culture.

“We have a common heritage of peace and harmony,” said educational volunteer Martha Bai.

Ali Murad Dars, Vinod Sharma, Sanam, Hakoo Bai, Bakhtawar, Maryam and other volunteers were also present on the occasion.
