3038 cases of deceased quota have been approved so far since January 2019
Sindh government on Thursday approved 237 appointments in various departments against deceased quota and also directed deputy commissioners to expedite process of recruitment cases pending from the previously approved cases without any further delay.
As per details as many as 3038 cases of deceased quota have been approved since January 2019 and all 3038 candidates have got their offer orders and many of them have also joined various departments of Sindh government.
Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah while presiding over a meeting on implementation of recruitment in government departments against deceased quota reviewed the matter and issued directives.
The meeting gave approval of 273 appointments in various government departments, including 13 in the Board of Revenue, 10 in Health, 19 in Agriculture, Supply and Prices, 81 in School Education, 9 in Home (including Police), 20 in Local Government, 52 in Irrigation and 13 in population Welfare, 13 Works & Services, 3 each in College Education, SGA&CD and Auqaf, 11 in Public Health Engineering, 13 in Livestock & Fisheries, one each in Department of Empowerment of Person with Disabilities, Information, Forest and Social Welfare Department.
The meeting was informed by the provincial secretaries that various cases, which were previously approved by the competent authorities, were pending with different recruitment committee(s) (DRC) in various districts of Sindh.
On this the chief secretary directed Additional Secretary Services Saeed Ahmed Sheikh to submit details of pending cases with different deputy commissioner for DRCs. The Chief Secretary also directed all the deputy commissioners to expedite the process of recruitment against deceased quota for holding meetings of District Recruitment Committee(s).
Issuing direction for adhering to transparency in recruitment process, Shah said he would review cases after every 15 days. The meeting was attended by the Senior Member Board of Revenue Qazi Shahid Pervez, Secretary Agriculture Agha Zaheerudin, Secretary Excise Abdul Haleem Sheikh, Secretary Health Zahid Abbasi, Secretary Forest Abdul Rahim Soomro, Secretary Culture Ghulam Akbar laghari, Additional Secretary Services Saeed Ahmed Sheikh and other secretaries of the departments concerned.
