Public Opinion

After watching an irresponsible statement by Prime Minister of Pakistan- Imran Khan, I remembered mass shooting attack of Christchurch which happened on 15 March 2019 in New Zealand in which 50 innocent worshipers were shot dead in mosque during  Friday Prayers. A day after the attack, Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern visited the Christchurch and met with members of the Muslim community.

Dressed in black and wearing a Muslim-style headscarf known as a hijab, she tearfully told the Muslim community that the whole country was “united in grief.” It was not just her dress that won her more fans abroad. Many people also praised her pledge to cover the funeral costs of all 50 victims and offer financial assistance to the families.

But here in Pakistan, after over 6-days of carnage of innocent Hazara community workers in Machh, Balochistan, our Prime Minister, instead of visiting Hazara community, who are protesting their genocide, is labeling the as ‘blackmailers’.

Mr. Prime Minister! Don’t label Hazara people as Blackmailer. You should not have used such words for the bereaved families of Hazara community. I appreciate Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Mariam Nawaz for their visit to Quetta and offering condolence to Hazara community people.

I request Prime Minister and the Army Chief to visit Hazara people and accept their demands for justice.
