Provincial Minister for Industries, Commerce & Cooperatives Jam Ikramuallah Dharejo has said that Larkana Industrial Zone is opening very soon while a mega project is being set up to eliminate the toxic pollution of Karachi factories.
In this regard strict instructions have been issued to the officers of the department for expeditious completion of work for launching of the project.
While presiding over a high level meeting held with Industries and Commerce Department officials here on Monday, the minister reviewed the progress of work on two projects. The meeting was attended by Secretary Industries and Commerce Naseem Ul Ghani Sehato, MD Sindh Small Industries Sarwat Fahim, Additional Secretary Riaz Saheto and other concerned officers.
The meeting discussed mega projects of Larkana Industrial Zone and the Effluent Combined Treatment Plant for eliminating of industrial pollution in Karachi.
The meeting was informed that mega project of Effluent Combined Treatment Plant would cost Rs.3.65 billion.
The Larkana Industrial Zone project would be launched next month PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. About 90% of the work in Larkana Industrial Zone has been completed.
The mega project will prove to be a business hub for industrialists of Larkana, Minister Dharejo said. (PR)
