We like to believe we are the finest creation of God.  Our scriptural learning offers a sense of pride in the thought that Almighty has created us all, in his own image. The finest and greatest of the gifts which man has received from the Heavenly Father is cognitive abilities. Man is sane and therefore, a rational being—whereas animals lack this remarkable feature and cognition. Endowed with the faculty of reasoning, man can fairly well distinguish between right and wrong.

There however exists a paradox. What we perceive in the Universe around us is a different reality, in which our present world is fully out of synchronization with the design of divinity. Although the animal world is disorderly and chaotic yet we observe a definite order that is prevalent in the thick of this chaos.

On the other hand, animals kill their prey with the sole intent of quenching their appetite. This is the story of survival of the fittest. Unlike humans they don’t harbour any malice neither do they burn in the fire of hatred, enmity and malice. These are the essential, defining traits of the human kingdom only.

Chaos and disarray should exclusively be the monopoly of the animal kingdom—which species  are unable to decipher between good and evil, due to the sheer absence of the faculty of reasoning. However, today it is indeed a matter grave sorrow that human beings have surpassed the wild beasts, when it comes to cruelty and perversity.

Simply look around yourself at the soaring crimes against innocent people, which have made this earth a place highly unfit for living. The world we live in is certainly not a paradise designed to offer us comforts and ease of life. I would prefer to compare Homosapiens with other existing forms of life—because, animals too have their own scruples and moral compunctions.

We are more than likely to come across some fringe groups and outfits, in the world that are quite active these days— and busy with their undesirable provocations and mindless raving and ranting against the prevalent, western culture. These custodians of morality and native cultural heritage have brandished their naked swords in the air to raise the staccato against the advent of a flourishing foreign culture.

We must also realize that no culture is nasty in any kind or form. It is the depravity of a man’s mind that maraud a society of its real cultural mores and renders it a barren wasteland. Therefore, it is time for man to come out of his hibernation with a fresh a perception of reality. It is also unpalatable to liken humans with animals when the homo-sapiens engage in dastardly crimes and resort to avarice and sins.

Doing so, don’t we the malevolent humans, hatch another conspiracy against the animals existing on this planet—and cast undue blemishes, because animals are devoid of accountability for acts, we like refer as sins?
