Karachi: Provincial Minister for Human Settlements and Special Development Ghulam Murtaza Baloch has said that extracurricular activities, along with curricular activities, are necessary to develop the personality of the students as such activities have a positive tendency for students to compete.
He said this while addressing as chief guest at the speech competition and awards distribution ceremony at Khokhrapar Adam Hingoro Goth, Union Council Gharibabad, Malir Karachi on Thursday.
The program was also attended by Chairman Municipal Committee Malir Jan Mohammad Baloch, Director Primary Schools Saleem Awan, CEO Siraj Ahmed Memon, Noman Abdullah Murad, HDF Director Shehzad Qureshi and UC Chairman Pir Siddique Shah.
Students from the public and private schools of Khokhrapar participated in the event and presented wonderful tableaus.
Ghulam Murtaza Baloch distributed shields and awards among position holder students and also to good performing teachers and staff.
Addressing the event, Ghulam Murtaza Baloch said that such events create a sense of dedication and passion in the students and they also attract the children towards success. He further said that on the directive of the Chief Minister, the Sindh government was taking steps to provide quality education.
Minister said that Sindh’s children have great potential. It is important that teachers and parents should provide proper guidance to the children for their better future. (PR)
