Patients suffer as Paramedics boycott OPDs, wards in Dadu hospitals

Dadu:  On the call of Paramedical Staff Joint Action Committee, the paramedical staff of Civil Hospital Dadu and other hospitals of district, continued boycott of OPDs on Tuesday, the second day of their protest.

They wore black armbands and staged demonstration at Civil Hospital Dadu for acceptance of their demands.

The protesting staff was led by PMSJAC representatives Raja Rafique Ahmed Panhwar, Imtaiz Chandio, Dr. Vinod, Naseer Ahmed Lashari, Aachar Panhwar and others.

Sharing their issues with media persons, they said that Sindh government and health secretary had assured that the legal demands like Service Structure, time scale, 30 percent health professional allowance would be approved but they failed to fulfill their legal demands yet.

They warned that if their legal demands would not be accepted before 15 January, they would hold protest demonstration outside CM house Karachi till acceptance of their legal demands like other provinces of country.

Meanwhile, owing to closer of OPDs and all wards for 3 hours, patients coming from far-flung area suffered in getting medical treatment and urged Chief Justice of Pakistan to take serious notice against  doctors who boycotted their duties although they are taking high salaries.
