Mithi: A big rally was taken out in Mithi on Friday to condemn the Machh carnage. The participants of rally also staged sit-in at Kashmir Chowk of the district headquarter town of Tharparkar.
The rally, organized by Shia Ulema Council, started from Zohra mosque and after passing through different roads, reached at Kashmir Chowk.
Syed Shams-u-Zaman Shah, Gul Muhammad Bajer, Kazi Hajam and others, who led the rally, condemned brutal murder of eleven mine workers hailing from Hazara community of Balochistan.
They lamented that the heirs of deceased workers were sitting under open sky in freezing weather to seek justice but the rulers have kept mum and none of them have visited the bereaved families even after a week.
The protesters said that the Army Chief should have launched operation against the assassins. They warned of continuing country-wide protest till the Prime Minister visits the protesting families’ sit-in at Quetta.
