Schools include 5 of Mirpurkhas and 2 of Mithi; Action was taken for opening the institutions in violation of government orders; Sindh government had ordered closure as preventive measure against spread of coronavirus

Sindh Education & Literacy Department has suspended the registration of seven private schools of Mirpur Khas Division for keeping the institutions open in defiance of the government instructions regarding closure of all the schools across the province from March 2 to 13, 2020 as preventive measure against coronavirus.
According to a press release issued by Directorate of Inspection and Registration of Private Institutions, Mirpur Khas Region, various teams visited 39 schools of districts Mirpur Khas, Umerkot and Tharparkar under the supervision of Regional Director on March 3, 2020 and found seven private schools functioning violating the government orders.
The members of teams included Shariq Iqbal, Deputy Director, Ms. Nusrat Perveen Sahto, Assistant Director DG Office Sindh and Focal Person, Mumtaz Soomro, Assistant Director, Muzaffar Hussain, Assistant Registrar and Naveed Sodho, Monitoring Officer.
Following the report of the teams, taking immediate action for non-compliance of government instructions, the registration of seven schools was suspended. The schools are Vital School Mirpur Khas, Moonlight School Mirpur Khas, Shah Abdul Latif School Mirpur Khas, Al-sibgha School Mirpur Khas, Shahbaz School Mirpur Khas, Al-Mehran High School Mithi and Marvi Grammar School Mithi.
The Regional Director also issued strict instructions to the heads of all the institutions of Mirpur Khas Region to comply with government orders and keep all the institutions closed. “No any staff should be called for any type of duty and in case of non-compliance, strict legal action will be taken against defaulters,” he warned.
