The third sports festival of public and private schools was organized on Wednesday at the grounds of Sindh Agriculture University, and the students from more than 20 schools participated in 27 different sports.
Bukhari Model High School of Sindh Agriculture University won the first position.
Sports competitions were organized among the students of various public and private schools of Hyderabad under the 3rd Add Excellence 2022 hosted by All Private Institutions Organization (APIO) at the Sindh Agriculture University Ground, which included athletics, tug of war, indoor and outdoor games.
During the competition, Bukhari Model High School of Sindh Agriculture University won more medals in various sports and got the first position by performing brilliantly. Medals and prizes were also distributed to the successful athletes on this occasion.
Speaking at the event, Shaukat Hussain Khanzada, secretary of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Hyderabad said that along with academic activities, extracurricular activities are also very important because it helps to enhance the mental and physical fitness of students.
Sports Festival Organizer Engineer Ahsan Hameed said that Add Excellence is the only forum under which sports fairs are being organized continuously in Sindh. “Hundreds of students from 20 schools participated in 27 different sports in the sports festival.” He said
Educationist Dr. Mahmood-ul-Hassan Mughal also spoke. On this occasion, Secretary BISE Shaukat Hussain Khanzada, Mehmood-ul-Hassan Mughal and other guests distributed medals and other prizes to the successful athletes.
During the closing ceremony, Deputy Director Private School Hyderabad Region Syed Naveed Shah, Director Private School Mirpurkhas Region Professor Anwar Qureshi, Monitoring Officer Private Schools Hyderabad Region Pir Raheel Hussain Shah, Principal Government Boys Degree College Tandojam Professor Aneela Memon and others also spoke.
Scholars Ausaf Afridi, Major Retired Rukhsar Mehmood, Hussain Ahmed Kalhoro, Junaid Farooq and others were present on the occasion. (PR)
