The police have claimed having recovered safely a man Wali Dad Khoso from the dacoits who was kidnapped for ransom about ten days back from Tangwani area of Kashmore district of Sindh.

Watchman Wali Dad Koso, who was kidnapped from Ahmed Ali Khoso’s fish farm near Haibat Bridge, was recovered after an encounter, SSP Kashmore Zeeshan Ahmed Siddiqui said in a press release on Wednesday.

According to the details, the police on the secret information that the kidnappers were moving the hostage from one place to another due to the operation in Kashmore, DSP Durani Mahar Abdul Hafeez Chachar, SHO Ghoda Ghat Kazim Jagirani, along with special team took action in Durrani Mehr Kacha area where during the shootout between the kidnappers and the police, Wali Dad Khoso was rescued, who was kidnapped from the fish farm of Ahmed Ali Khoso near Haibat Bridge of Police Station A section. The kidnappers left the hostage and fled towards Kacha area taking the cover of firing. (PR)

The local police safely recovered 3-year boy Abdul Ahad son of Abdul Qayoom Bhatti during operation in riverine area of Ubauro and arrested two dacoits, who had abducted the boy eleven days back and had demanded ransom of Rs.10 million for his release.

The boy was abducted from Shaikh Mohalla of Ubauro by the criminals riding a bicycle.

The police came into action soon after the political and religious parties took out rallies, staged demonstration and sit-in in the town on Friday and had warned of spreading the scope of protest across the province if the child was not recovered within two days.

Azhar Khan Mughal, Senior Superintendent of Police, district Ghotki, in his press conference on Saturday, told newsmen that ‘abductors Wahab Gurgage and Gulan Gurgage were arrested along with arms and the boy was safely recovered’.

“The police were in search of the abductors since the day of abduction and with the help of technical team, the police located the criminals’ hideout and conducted the operation,” SSP said.

According to police official the abductors were members of an inter-provincial gang involved in various crimes including kidnapping for ransom.

While the SSP Mughal lauded the efforts of SHO Ubauro Athar Channa and his team, the citizens too thronged at police station dancing and singing to express their gratitude for the police team. They showered rose petals on police personnel who took part in operation.

A large number of political and social activists took out rallies and staged demonstration here on Friday to condemn the police for its failure to recover the boy whose father, an employee of a private company, was unable to meet the kidnappers’ demand.

The protest rallies were organized by political parties and religious organizations – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (Shaheed Bhutto), Sindh Taraqi Pasand Party and Jamiat Ulma-e-Islam. The rallies were taken out from different localities of town and turned into big demonstration outside local press club where the protesters staged sit-in.
