Hailing from Gujrat, Punjab province of Pakistan, Abeera Mirza is an English literature gold medalist, teacher and gifted poet. She won numerous awards for her passion for words. Why is everyone running a race,

When life moves at its own pace?

Some walk slowly, yet reach their goal,

Some rush ahead, yet pay a toll.

Why feel anxious if you’re slow?

It’s fine to take your time and grow.

Those who rush may stumble too

So, why let worry trouble you?

Life and time aren’t the same for all,

Each has their colors, their unique call.

Different roads we tread each day,

How can all share the same way?

Walk at a pace that feels just right,

For every journey has its light.
