Renowned singer and composer Jutin Udasi, whose ancestors belonged to Badah town of Larkana district of Sindh, proudly sings ‘Ha maa Sindhi aahiyan’ (Yes, I am Sindhi) to promote the Sindhi language and culture among the youths of Sindhi community around the world. He has performed in over two dozen countries of Europe and Asia.

Jatin-udasi-profile2Jatin, who has also done various shows and concerts in Sindhi, Hindi, Bollywood, Sufi and fusion etc. is currently visiting Sindh to perform at a concert in connection with 125th birth anniversary festival of Sakhi Baba Asudaram in Pano Aqil town. The festival has started. Later, he will perform at 137th birthday celebrations of Bhagat Kanwar Ram at Raharki, which is to begin from April 10, 2022.

Jatin Udasi is a professional singer who started learning music at the age of 10 from his father, Goverdhan Das Udasi, and uncle, Shri Dilip Kumar Udasi at Balak Mandli in Katni. Both are well known in the field of devotional music. He was also tutored under Ustad Hifzul Kabir and Pandit Askaran Sharma.

At the age of 16, Jatin composed and released his first album, Gurbani, with his brother, Nitin Udasi. Later, Jatin released his second album, Shraddha Suman, in Sindhi. He has performed at various shows and concerts. Singing in Sindhi, Gujarati, and Hindi. Bollywood, Sufi, and fusion music are his forte.

Jatin-Udasi-1He started his career in Mumbai with a Krishna bhajan, ‘Shri Krishna Sharanam Mamah’, which was telecasted on Sanskar TV. Recently, he covered ‘Sindhi Kalam’ by Shah Abdul Latif ‘Pere Pavandi Saan’ and ‘Parchan Shaal Pavaar’. The cover received a lot of positive feedbacks on YouTube and was released on various Sindhi channels like Sindhi Kachchhi TV, Radio Sindhi of London, and FM 105.

“I belong to a Sindhi family,” Jatin Udasi, born on December 27, 1988 at Katni, Madhya Pradesh, writes on a website introducing himself.

Beside the soft, silky, smooth and heart touching voice, Jatin has talent of presenting old classical and folk Sindhi musical creations in the style and format that suits with liking of modern Sindhi youth. His songs ‘Ha Maa Sindhi Ahiyan’ and ‘Sindhi Abani Boli’ are most popular among Sindhis.
