Thành Ba Le, internationally renowned and global awards-winning poet from Vietnam, the Land of Blue Dragon, shares his poetry

Internationally renowned and global awards winning poet Thành Ba Le was born at Xuan village, Cho Lau Town, Bac Binh District, Binh Thuan Province in Vietnam on 7 May, 1954. By profession he is a teacher as well as poet, writer. He is the Chief Editor of Organization of Journal Cooperation & International Communication, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. He is one of the pioneers in modern era to represent Vietnamese literature and culture around the world. He wrote four long poems titled 1. Say Hello to the World, 2. Let the Future Tell the Truth, 3.  The Recalling Poems of Spring’s Night and 4. Critical Remark about Abstract & so on. His works were widely influential in shaping Vietnamese culture and contemporary literature. His poetry named ‘The Journey towards Peace, Love, and Happiness was published in 2017. This work brought him the honor of becoming Co-President of the World Union of Poets -WUP, and being an ambassador for the World Institute for Peace with an award of “World Icon of Peace” on 12 February, 2018 in recognition of his tremendous performances in promoting peace and humanitarian services through his profession.

Take my hand and lead the way,

Tell me all you want to say

You softly whisper in my ear,

All those things I want to hear

Kiss my lips and touch my skin

Bring out passion deep within

Pull me close hold me near

Take away my pain and fear

In the darkness of the night

Be my sweetheart sight your light

In the brightness of the sun

Show me that you are the one

Give me wings so I can fly

For I can soar when you nearby

Enter my heart, break down the wall

It’s time for me to watch it fall

I’ve been a prisoner, can’t you see?

Break my chain and set me free

Strip me of my armor tight,

You’ll find I don’t give up a fight

We had better be on our way

It’s high time for me – let me say

Whisper your feelings I am all ear

Break down the wall. Oh, dear, hear!

What now gets, vow, under your skin

Well, spring it on me deep within

As desired, in time, success comes near

Nothing can bar and make you fear

I will be all right on the night

Keep sighting our loving light

As the brightness of the sun

As long as we are the one

The world is our oyster to fly

The life vicissitudes as a fly-by

You left off the contrary wall

But you have just made it fall

With your courage for all to see

You’ve had set both of us free

Give me your hand, hold me tight

Because of our spiritual fight

Keep up your mind deep within

Ahead of time, let’s love begin.
