Ghulam Asghar Shaikh, Project Director (Works) and Syed Muneer Ahmed Shah Rashdi, I.T Manager have been awarded cash prize of Rs.50000 each by the Universities &amp; Boards Department, Government of Sindh in recognition of their diligent efforts in their domain for public financial management and accountability to support service delivery.</p>

<p><strong>Karachi:</strong> The Provincial Selection Board 2 has approved the promotion of 119 officers of health, irrigation, home and agriculture departments to higher grade.</p>
<p>The approval was given in a meeting held at Sindh Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah on Friday. The meeting was attended by Senior Member Board of Revenue Alumuddin Bullo, Secretary Services Saeed Ahmed Mangnejo and secretaries of relevant departments, says Farhat Imtiaz Janwiri, spokesman to Sindh Chief Secretary.</p>
<p>Some 98 doctors of the health department were promoted as senior medical officer in 19-grade; 19 officers of Agriculture Department including Leemon Kumar, Amir Gohar Khan, Anwar Ahmed Pathan, Aftab Ali Khokhar, Zulfiqar Ali Jagirani, Shankar Lal, Mohammad Usman, Rehanuddin Ahmed, Allah Wasayo Kaleri, Sher Hussain Chandio, Ghulam Mustafa, Ahmed Depar, Mohammad Hussain , Abdul Rauf Magsi, Aleemullah Rajput, Agha Tufail, Bashir Ahmad Kalhoro, Abdul Qayyum Rajput, Mumtaz Ali Awan were approved for promotion as Director in Grade 19.</p>
<p>Sultan Ahmed Maher of Irrigation Department was approved to be promoted as Superintending Engineer in Grade 19 and Miraj Ahmed of Home Department was also promoted as Director IT in Grade 19.</p>
<p>The recommendation will be sent to the Chief Minister Sindh and after his approval the Services, General Administration &amp; Coordination Department will notify the promoted officers. (PR)</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Karachi:</strong> Sindh government has decided to construct multi-storied buildings in Karachi to provide residential facilities to its officers. The multi-storied buildings will be built in different parts of the city.</p>
<p>Provincial Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah presided over a meeting here on Tuesday to review the plan.</p>
<p>The meeting was told that the residential buildings will be constructed in Bath Island, Saddar and Gulshan-e-Iqbal areas of the city.</p>
<p>According to plans, two 20-storied buildings will be constructed in Saddar area to provide residential facilities to the officers of Deputy Secretaries and other officers of such level, while 20 flats will be built in Bath Island for accommodating secretaries. Similarly, flats will be built in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, an official handout said.</p>
<p>Chief Secretary said that the accommodation problem of the government officers could be resolved after construction of these buildings. “The allocation of funds for these projects would be made in upcoming budget,” he said.</p>
<p>Mumtaz Shah directed the Secretary, General Administration, to finalize the balloting of the flats built in Landhi area.</p>
<p>Secretary Finance, Secretary General Administration, Deputy Commissioner South and other officers of planning and development department attended the meeting. (PR)</p>
