Over 4965 candidates will appear in the pre-admission entry test for admissions to Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) which is to be held on Sunday at Public School Hyderabad, where, 71 blocks have been created along with a separate wing for female students.

According to the press release issued by the spokesman of the University here on Friday, the Pre Entry Test for new admission to the Undergraduate Degree Program of the academic year 2022-23, in all the five faculties of SAU – Information Technology Center, Institute of Food Sciences and Technologies and constituted Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Agriculture College Dokri, Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and Sub Campus Umerkot will be held on Sunday 29 January 2023 at Public School Latifabad Hyderabad, for which arrangements have been completed.

A high-level meeting regarding the arrangements was held at the university committee room, chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. Fateh Marri. The heads of various committees briefed the Vice Chancellor about the arrangements that this year 4965 candidates for admissions have submitted their applications, including 634 female candidates. A total of 71 blocks have been set up for the test, with an entire wing reserved for female candidates.

The admission seats have also been increased this year, and 2198 seats have been allocated in the university, 200 seats for Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Agricultural College Dokri, 153 seats for Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and 270 seats for Sub Campus Umerkot.

SAU launched 8 new degree programs, and a large number of candidates have preferred these programs as their first choice. Despite the rains in Sindh and the delay in the intermediate results, the number of candidates seeking admission is more than previous years.

The meeting was informed that SAU under the supervision of its testing unit will release the results through the OMR machine for the first time within the stipulated time.

To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, the security system has been tightened, for which police and other law enforcement agencies will be deployed along with walk-through gates. The reception camps will also be set up to guide candidates.

Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur will conduct the Pre-Entry Test-2022 for the admission of fresh batch of B.S Part-I and B.S Part-III respectively on Tuesday January 11, 2022.

A review meeting for the pre-arrangements for the conduct of Pre-Entry Test-2022 was held at Vice Chancellor Secretariat, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur. Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto, Vice Chancellor chaired the meeting, a press release said on Thursday.

The Vice Chancellor said that the conduct of centralized admission test is aimed to maintain transparency and discipline.

After detailed deliberations, it was decided that the Pre-Entry Test will be conducted at the Central Lawn of the Main Administration Block. The eligible candidates will download their admit slips from University website. 

Meanwhile, the admit slips will also be available during the first week of January 2022 in all the institutes and departments. The parents of the appearing candidates will be seated at the University Model School.

It was decided that entry of the candidates will be allowed only from the Main Gate having admit slips. The outsiders will not be allowed to enter in the University premises while all the hostels will remain closed.

It was further decided that foolproof security measures will be taken in order to avert any untoward incident. The District Police will be approached to maintain law and order. The traffic plan will be prepared by the University Security Staff with the support of District Police.

It was also decided that all the Faculty Members, T.T.S and Teaching Assistants will perform their invigilation duties on the day of test. The test will start on 11:00 am.
