The Youth Center of Termiz city and the Faculty of Foreign Philology at Termiz State University hosted the International Scientific-Practical Conference “Topical and Prospective Issues of Philology.”

The event was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Termiz State University, and M. Auezov South Kazakhstan State University. It brought together scholars, professors, and students from around the world, representing the United States, Kenya, the Philippines, Germany, Iran, Afghanistan, India, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

The main goal of the conference was to discuss current challenges and developments in modern linguistics, literary studies, translation, and foreign language teaching methodology, as well as to develop new proposals and recommendations in these fields.

The conference focused on four major directions: Linguistics and Linguoculturology, Literary Studies and Cultural Research, Language Teaching Methodology, and Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication

More than 500 scholars and researchers submitted their scientific papers for inclusion in the official conference proceedings, presenting their latest findings, ideas, and innovations in various areas of philology and linguistics.

In her welcoming remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Philology highlighted the importance of international cooperation in promoting research and encouraging young scholars to share their academic achievements with the global community.

The event not only provided a platform for exchanging ideas but also strengthened international academic ties between universities. The participants noted that such conferences serve as a bridge between scientific traditions and modern approaches in education and research.

On October 31, guests were offered a cultural tour around Termiz and the Surkhandarya region, visiting its historical monuments and landmarks, which helped international participants experience Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage firsthand.

The conference concluded with a mutual commitment to continue collaboration and organize similar international academic events in the coming years.
