Parents suspect polio virus while DHO says ‘malnutrition has weakened their legs’

Three kids of a family belonging to Brohi tribe of Kachho area of Dadu district are suffering from a mysterious diseases but their parents feared that children were had polio virus because their legs and feet have become so weak that they cannot walk.
Sharif Brohi, father of two of ailing children, holds health authorities responsible for missing their children during anti-polio drive in Tando Raheem village in Kachho area of Wahi Pandhi town of Johi Taluka, district Dadu.
However, District Health Officer of Dadu Dr. Zahid Dawach has opined that children’s body parts have become weak for malnutrition. He told that children will be given medical treatment and their samples will be taken for laboratory test.
Rejecting allegation of neglecting that area, he said their teams had covered all hilly areas of Dadu district and no child was missed during anti-polio drive.
He said children will be given medical treatment and all tests would be carried at taluka hospital of Wahi Pandhi on Thursday. .
Sharif Brohi told that his two siblings – three year son Qurban, 4-year daughter Bano and his cousin Khuda Bux’s daughter Noor Babi’s legs and feet have become weak and cannot walk since last month.
He demanded Health Minister to take serious notice and order sending special team of doctors to check their children and provide better treatment and save them from life-long disability.
