MNA Muhammad Bux mahar and District Administration of Ghotki arranged collective marriage ceremony; couples were provided with domestic appliances and motorcycles

Ghotki: Some thirty couples were tied in wedlock at a colorful collective marriage ceremony organized jointly by Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar, Member National assembly and the district administration of Ghotki at Ahmed Saeen Stadium of Khanpur Mahar town on Monday.
The collective wedding ceremony was organized for the poor and deserving couples. Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar and Deputy Commissioner of Ghotki district Muhammad Usman Abdullah, other notables of the area and parents and relatives of couple attended the ceremony.
Speaking on this occasion, Sardar Muhammad Bux Mahar said that they arranged collective marriage ceremony to help those parents who could not afford the huge expenses of weddings. He said such more collective weddings would be arranged in future.
MNA Mahar said he was well aware of the problems faced by the people of his constituency and is striving to resolve them. He also pledged to modernize the public library of Khangarh.
Deputy Commissioner Usman Abdullah in his address said that selection of couple was made on merit from six Union Councils of Khangarh Tehsil. “We have arranged all the things needed to start a new life including the sewing machines and bikes so that these women and men could earn their livelihood in a respectful way,” he told.
Maulana Ishaq Laghari performed the Nikah of all the thirty couples. The collective wedding ceremony gave a look of traditional marriages as the brides wore red color wedding costumes and wedding songs were played.
