9 Students of Sindh Agriculture University receive Indigenous Scholarship

Master’s and Ph.D. Scholars of University were urged to conduct research on new topics keeping in view the problems facing the agriculture sector.

Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) Indigenous Scholarship cheques were distributed among nine postgraduate students of Sindh Agriculture University (SAU) Tando Jam on Tuesday.

Dr. Fateh Marri, Vice Chancellor SAU distributed the cheques of Indigenous Scholarship among the Masters and Ph.D. Scholars of University, at Senate Hall of the University.

Speaking on the occasion Dr. Fateh Marri urged that the scholars should conduct their research on new topics keeping in view the problems facing the agriculture sector.

SAU- Scholarship-Sindh CourierHe said that Sindh Agriculture University is launching training workshops to further enhance the qualifications of its students so that our graduates can prove their competence in the practical field.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ismail Kumbhar, Director, University Advancement and Financial Assistance, Syed Noman Shah, Ms. Shabana Memon and others were present.

Speech Competition

The Speech Competition-2022 was organized by the Student-Teacher Engagement Program (STEP) of Sindh Agriculture University at the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering (FAE), which was presided over by Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal, Dean of Faculty.

On this occasion, the students gave enthusiastic speeches on various topics proposed by the committee. Student Laraib Leghari was declared first, Anusha Khanzada second and Abdullah Veesar got the third position.

Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal distributed certificates of appreciation to the successful students.

SAU-Speech-Competition - Sindh CourierDr. Altaf Siyal said that the students are being provided opportunities for academic as well as other healthy activities. In particular, various training opportunities are being provided to the students to enhance their talents and build their personality and success in practical life.

He said that more programs would be organized in the faculty in collaboration with STEP.

Dr. Abdul Ghafoor Siyal and STEP faculty member Engineer Zaheer Ahmad Khan also addressed on the occasion. Teachers and students including Dr. Munir Ahmed Mangrio, Dr. Mashooq Talpur, Dr. Ahmed Ali Taggar and Dr. Irfan Ali Sheikh were also present. (PR)
