There is selfless determination for earning pride and prestige to set an example for many like me in our society. But you don´t understand and I am tired to explain.

By Salma Habib Bhutto

I am tired to explain when you say ‘I am arrogant’; actually you do prejudge me, because you don´t realize that I am confident enough to answer your each question. You don´t realize that it’s my persistence and hard work of years that make me confident and practical, but I am tired to explain.

You say that I am rude but you don´t realize that I am realistic and remain unbiased towards any of your argument, but I am tired to explain.

When you say: why I need to do job when you are well-established, but you don´t realize that I am human likewise you; I can have dreams, for which I have worked more harder than you; I wish to get a good position and honored job with handsome salary, but you don´t understand, and I am tired to explain.

You say you are there every time to support me and my family; it’s good but I want to do it myself without asking you exceptional to petty details, but you don’t understand and I am tired to explain.

When you say my dreams are your dreams but you set conditions; you don’t know how much compelled and helpless I fell, but I don’t want to explain.

You say world has changed, going out for job is not safe, then I say I want to be that one brick to change the mindsets of the world; but you don’t understand and I am tired to explain.

When you say world cannot be changed only by my thinking, then I feel that I am not allowed even to think independently; but you can’t understand and I am tired to explain.

I feel why we call ourselves human if can’t react like humans, we don´t keep the attributes of humans, and many questions arise in my mind like: are we equally human? Why we live in societies when we think individually? But you don´t understand and I am tired to explain.

I am tired to explain that beyond my rudeness, my attitude, my proud there is confidence, humanity, strait forwardness, education enhancement and dreams that keep me on track to effort for better life. There is passion for increasing the honor of my motherland and family. There is selfless determination for earning pride and prestige to set an example for many like me in our society.

But you don´t understand and I am tired to explain.
