After ten years of planning and construction, China has opened the world’s largest aquatic science park, whose exterior looks like a giant spaceship from a science fiction movie.
Located in Zhuhai Province, the full name of this park is ‘Zhuhai Chimelong Marine Science Park’ with a total area of 400,000 square meters, which can accommodate 50,000 people. One lakh aquatic animals, fishes and other creatures of 300 different species are kept in the world’s largest aquarium.
The science park has exhibits on 10 different themes, including 100 species of living corals and corals. Although it was supposed to open in 2021, it has now been opened to the public after some delays.
The science park has two records to its name, one is the aquarium with the largest window and the other is the largest live coral tank.
A restaurant and lodging are also built throughout the project. More than a billion dollars have been spent on the project and above all it is a completely indoor marine park.
