Echoes of Prayer from the Sandbanks of Thar Desert

I am planting trees of dreams

In the wilderness of views,

Make them lush green in reality,

So that the worry worn wayfarers

Could have a sound sojourn,

Under their sheltering shadow!

A Prayer!

Oh, my Lord!

Make me such a sea wave

That billows boisterously

Daily to touch the moon.

Oh, my Lord!

Grant my life’s every moment

A full moonlit night like bloom.

Oh, my Lord!

I am planting trees of dreams

In the wilderness of views,

Make them lush green in reality,

So that the worry worn wayfarers

Could have a sound sojourn,

Under their sheltering shadow!
