Finishing School Workshop Phase-II begins at Sindh Agriculture University

The students are being taught English language, communication, virtual communication, social media awareness, micro-credit policy, entrepreneurship, CSS, PCS, ILETS, TOEFL, and GRE, in which more than 30 final year students are participating.

The second phase of Finishing School Workshop began here Monday at Sindh Agriculture University, which is aimed to train students in professional, job and language skills.

The students are being taught English language, communication, virtual communication, social media awareness, micro-credit policy, entrepreneurship, CSS, PCS, ILETS, TOEFL, and GRE, in which more than 30 final year students are participating.

The Finishing School Workshop (FSW) phase-II for final year students of the University has been organized by Sindh Agriculture University in collaboration with Sindh Higher Education Commission Karachi.

Addressing the inaugural session, Dr. Fateh Marri, Vice Chancellor, SAU said that along with higher education, it is necessary to be skilled in other fields for high competitive exams. “The world is developing rapidly, therefore after getting higher education, instead of wasting time waiting for a government job, students have to acquire professional and language skills, to make a place in the national and international market.”

Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Dr. Aijaz Ali Khooharo in his speech said that the aim of universities is not only to produce graduates, but now they have to produce leaders in all fields. He said that SAU has set up research centers for modern academic methods, Business Incubation Centers to provide better business opportunities to the students, and Gender Resource Centers for Gender Equality.

Dr. Shabana Sartaj Tunio, Chairperson of FSW said that during the second phase of the training workshop to enhance the capacity building of the students of SAU, they will be introduced to English language, communication, virtual communication, social media awareness, micro-credit policy, entrepreneurship, CSS, PCS, ILETS, TOEFL, and GRE, in which more than 30 final year students are participating.

Professor Inam Bhatti of Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Syed Ghiyasuddin Shah Rashidi, Dean, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, Dr. Altaf Ali Siyal, Dean Faculty of Crop Protection, Dr. Manzoor Ali Abro, Dean Faculty of Crop Protection, Dr. Aijaz Soomro, Dr. Mir Sajjad Talpur, Dr. Ghulam Mujtaba Khushik and others were present on the occasion.
