North Baroda Sindhi Association has organized grand celebration of Cheti Chand Festival on March 23; the last program will be held on March 25 by Alkapuri Sindhi Association.

Sindhi community of Vadodara (Baroda), Gujarat state of India have planned weeklong programs to celebrate Cheti Chand, the New Sindhi Year 2023 that marks the birthday of Lord Jhulelal.
The celebrations will start from March 18 and will end on March 23. The Sindhi community celebrates Cheti Chand every year with great enthusiasm.
As per details shared by Mr. Haresh Agnani, on March 18, Varun Seva Trust will arrange function titled ‘Cheti Chand Jo Rang Jhulan Je Sang’. On March 19, Baroda Sindhi Samaj will arrange Bike Rally, which will be participated by approximately 1000 2-wheelers.
On March 20, Jai Mata Di Group has arranged celebration in Shagun Banquet Hall while on March 21, the 24 Blood Donation Camp will be arranged by Lahiripura Sindhi Vepari Parivaar. In last 23 years they have collected 14742 blood units.
On March 22, a function is scheduled at Premprakash Dharam Tirth. Mr. Pintu Soni and Mr. Girish Kriplani are the main singers. On March 23, Waghodia Road Sindhi Panchayat, North Baroda Sindhi Association, Manjalpur Sindhi Panchayat and many other Sindhi associations will celebrate Cheti Chand.
On March 23, a procession (Sargas) has also been arranged on that day from Premprakash Dharam Tirth to Sindhu Sagar Talav in which around 2500 Sindhis will take Part.
Meanwhile, North Baroda Sindhi Association (NBSA) has organized celebration of Cheti Chand Festival program on Thursday 23rd March 2023 at Shagun Banquet Hall, Hotel Shagun 4th floor, Offtel Towers, opposite Circuit House, R C Dutt Road, Alkapuri.
The celebration will start from 6pm. The program consist of Puj Lal Sai’s Behrano saheb, Panjra, Aarti, Sesa etc. Solo/Couple/Group dances on Sindhi songs, Singing of Sindhi songs/bhajans, Jokes, poetry in Sindhi, poems or Story telling by children in Sindhi and entertainment activities as per availability of time.
The members who would like to perform in any of above have been requested to register their names with Mr. C. M. Bhagia on mobile number 9879513430 or to Mr. Chandu Nankani on mobile number 9978923058 as early as possible.
The program will be followed by dinner. The NBSA has decided to keep charge of Rs.300/- per person for participation.
All the members have been requested to give their names and contribution on or before 18th March 2023 to any management committee member.
Further, NBSA requested all the members to come and join the program and make it a grand success.
The last program of Cheti Chand will be held by Alkapuri Sindhi Association on March 25, 2023.
