For thousands of years the world is combating an issue and that is the poverty. It seems an uncontrollable global disaster engaging organizations to handle it but look hopeless to get rid of it. With every passing time, the poverty has been increasing from worse to worst. It comes across it is an ultimate dowry for the world. Every corner of the globe is possessing this one.

“Absolute poverty is defined as the lack of sufficient resources with which to keep body and soul together” – (World Bank Organization). When the income is less it occurs varies in different societies in flexible ratios. The latest report of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) made public in 2022, calculates that in 2019 some 641 million people lived under an income of 1.90 dollars a day, the year 2021 noticed the numbers shooting up to 684 million.

The world is combating this hardship in various forms. For instance, in rural as well as urban situations, generations lived in absolute poverty. It is spread all over the world. According to World Bank, the countries with the highest poverty rates in the world are South Sudan – 82.30% Equatorial Guinea – 76.80% Madagascar – 70.70%. Pakistan is the 99th country in the world out of 123 countries in 2022 (Global Hunger Index).

Poverty deprives the basic and essential requirements of life such as water, food, clothes, shelter, health care, and so on. It is existing since the day when human beings itself started to survive on the earth. With passing of every decade, the acceleration of poverty has increased. The current situation of Covid-19, the Russia-Ukraine war, natural disasters, and regional and social factors are responsible for it.

Poverty is smashing the needs and desires. It buries the desires of lives. It snatches a person from physiological and psychological needs, schooling from a child, inadequate childcare, renders homeless, causes unemployment, domestic issues, social problems, and other enormous numbers of deviations.

The dream to eradicate poverty can be fulfilled with sincere and untiring efforts and hard work. It is feasible to handle, not unbelievable. The organizations that are engaged to control it ought to get probe the initial root cause of it and pay attention at that point. The government of every country must establish industries for employment. The most notable things which are the root cause of poverty are corruption and crime. Both these factors have to be under the circumstances of society. Poverty is an indirect proportion of corruption and crime.

To sum up, poverty is not a problem for a single person but a problem for a whole nation. It hinders the whole country’s development. So, the government should impose urgent implantation to control it, as the growth of society, country, nation, and economy must run on the accurate track.
