Come to me, O ye children! For I hear you at your play. And the questions that perplexed me have vanished quite away. Ye open the eastern windows. That look towards the sun, where thoughts are singing swallows and the brooks of morning run – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807-1882)

Children are the most innocent and carefree human beings on this planet. They are not bogged down by the complexities of life and their minds are not filled with the burdens of adult responsibilities. But what makes children different from infants and adults? A child is a young human being who has developed beyond infancy but has not yet reached adulthood. Infants, on the other hand, are newborns or very young children who have not yet developed their motor or cognitive abilities. Adults, on the other hand, have reached a level of physical and cognitive maturity that enables them to be responsible and independent.

Despite their innocence, children are often perceived as being born to do certain tasks given by the school.

This notion is flawed, and it is important to recognize that children have unique talents, interests, and abilities that should be nurtured and encouraged. Unfortunately, many schools still abuse children by beating them or caning them, rather than providing a supportive environment that fosters growth and development.

Additionally, confectionary eating has made children refrain from eating good food or organic fruits. It is important to encourage children to eat a balanced and healthy diet to ensure they grow up to be healthy and strong. We should also encourage children to speak their minds, rather than expecting them to remain silent. It is only through open communication that children can develop their social skills and learn to express themselves effectively.

Despite their innocence, children are often perceived as being born to do certain tasks given by the school.

It is also important to recognize that children are often the most vulnerable members of our society. Child labor, domestic violence, and pedophiles are some of the most pressing issues that affect children. Sadly, there is often no voice or vocal advocacy for these children, leaving them at the mercy of those who seek to harm them.

Children in rural areas often have a different upbringing than their cosmopolitan counterparts. While rural children spend time in fields and engage in real social life, cosmopolitan children living in matchbox flats become prey to cell phones or addicted to fast food. Poverty often leaves many children coerced into labor, as they are forced to work to support their families.

Despite their mischievousness, children are innocent and should be loved, respected, and listened to. We should not put them in challenging situations or ordeals, and instead provide them with a safe and nurturing environment that fosters their growth and development. It is important to remember that children are beautiful and innocent, and they deserve our utmost care and protection. As the great philosopher Will Durant once said, “Children are but pay, for they are the answer to our prayers.”
