A state should never be judged by its appearance rather actions, is an orthodox of old wisdoms that incorporates realistic perception for state, who pursues strategic interests and security concerns as unconditional priority of survival. Conventional wisdom sets forth an idea which demonstrates the policies state acquires for self-centric and absolute power. Furthermore, in an anarchic world state must be self-dependent and great power because the intentions of rival are no divine but competitive. No state in history of the world has ever acquired dominance by taking part in fair and following rules to reach hierarchy in the top. Likewise, state goes beyond moral and ethical rules in persuasion of self-survival and great power which strengthens rivalry among states in state of anarchic system. Conventional wisdom demands to acquire power for survival, otherwise different great powers will accomplish the strategies to dominate and get hold of affairs vice-versa to benevolence.

According to a study, between the end of World War II and 2000, eighty-one elections in sovereign countries have been influenced overtly or covertly by the USA.

State secures two separate strategies stipulating its appearance and actions as soft power or hard power, interdependent or self-dependent, idealist or realist, pacifist or pessimist and defensive or offensive. On the horizon of changing nature of circumstances, indistinguishable to conventional wisdom, the US has been pursuing distinguish strategic policies as it is two separate Americas. One is the America of Lincoln and Adlai Stevenson generous and humane that is self-critical, sensible, humored, inquiring and judicious. The other is the America of Teddy Roosevelt and the modern super patriots narrowly egotistical, self-righteous, romantic, solemn, pontificating, and inclined to great power. This spectrum of separatism indicates a state in general is more judged by its appearance than reality, which consequently, leads a state to appear peaceful, humane, cooperative and optimist but the reality of the actions is opposite.

According to study, between the end of World War II and 2000, eighty-one elections in sovereign countries have been influenced overtly or covertly by the USA. In the lifespan of two and half centuries, Washington has been involved in over a hundred wars, which determines that practically there has been no day in its history that it has no aggressive involvement in brutality on other part of humanity. Moreover, facetiously so, even throwing oneself into 21st century with enthusiasm of progressive, peaceful and humanitarian moments and international institutions under the shadow of UN for prosperity of existence on earth, the USA remains intact; appearing with all the fancy words like democracy, prosperity, development and humanitarianism but doing exactly the opposite things – things that down liberty and mutilate humanity.

Following the disintegration of Soviet Union and entering 21st century, the USA with lethal sole supremacy invaded sovereign states Afghanistan 2001, Iraq 2003 and enfolding several Arab states in the 2011 Arab Spring, Washington has a great stances of involvement in destruction of wide number of states including, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, and Syria, bringing out death of uncounted millions lives and widespread destruction of property.

People suffer globally from massive political instability, economic crisis, malnutrition, gender discrimination and more concerned humanitarian crisis. However, attainment of resources and power from periphery states is concern to all but none considers the acquaintances to show the gesture of safeguard of human rights and civil liberty. Sometimes, indirect interference is worth alternative. When human lives are being demised, civil liberty is tormented, women are raped, and education institutions are being destroyed. When religion is forcefully accommodated, children face persecution and chaos creates state of stateless. No borders or ethnicity should matter when humanity suffers from devastating crisis.

But the behavior of state is quite determinant which escorts the phenomenon of self-interest. No state involves its capabilities to strengthen minor state, if it braces no fascination to its power and interest. State appears with charming words like democracy, liberty, universalism and humanitarianism but in practice it believes in conventional wisdom, to contain rising and exploit minor powers. In foreign affairs, state has no friends, only interests. The distinguished between appearance and actions, theory and practice captivate strategic interests the most. State, explicitly, behaves in international community as harmonious and progressive: explaining the matter of affairs with different perspectives like democratic peace theory and democratic and economic liberalism but implicitly do things contrary – preferred by conventional wisdom (theory of realism). Conventional wisdom is old wine, poured into new fancy bottles.
