FIFTY FIFTY – The Power-Sharing Formula
The poem by Asif Hussain is instant reflection of common men displaced due to worst governance during present flooding.

Half is yours, half is mine
[Note: The poems, like present one are instant reflections of common men, who in the present flooding are displaced owing to the worst governance at the provincial as well as the federal level in Sindh and Pakistan. Some peripheral interest groups and aspirant interns of the power corridors may disagree with the content of the present poem. But, they must not forget that this type of expression is peoples’ voice, and it must be recoded].
FIFTY FIFTY
Half is yours, half is mine,
Three Talukas yours, Three Talukas mine,
Superintendent of Police yours, Deputy Commissioner mine,
District Health Officer yours, Medical Superintendent mine,
Ration bags yours, tents mine,
District Chairman yours, Vice-Chairman mine,
Ghost sweepers’ salaries- half yours, half mine,
Brother* yours, sister** mine,
You are my elder brother and I am your younger one.
