Since the reign of Queen Victoria, when the industrial revolution transformed rural societies into factory system, the industry’s rape of nature was compromised for personal profit. Here nature’s rape means deforestation in terms of cutting the trees, crushing the plants and wild weeds under the burden of industrialization. When sacred soil got rotten with artificial productions, an unseen warrior evolved out from the debris of Greenland whom scientists named covid-19.
It’s mighty execution pulled entire world into lockdown. The war planes like F-16 and long range missiles and gigantic machinery even could not beat it. The only way to save human race was social distancing and quarantine. Its execution was to belittle Industry’s Rape of nature in order to recycle the fertility of this sacred soil. When world’s military, industries, vehicles, flights, institutions and entire population were pulled into lockdown, I retired from study and came back to my village.
In those leisure days, I started living in the harmony of nature. “Nature never did betray the heart that loves her,” as had said Wordsworth, I had isolated in the vastness of wild life. Nature became my teacher and I her devoted student. I ponder over the recycling of nature. Flowers stared flourishing and weeds re-fertilized. For the world it was the pestilence, but to me it was a “Lucky Lockdown” because it brought reformation of natural world. People were caged in their houses with unhealthy thoughts and seized everything in the fear of being infected simultaneously, I was tending my plants, vegetables and fruits for better future.
It was merely a misconception of states, capitalists, feudal lords, and traders that their defense system is kept in developing industries, F-16, missiles and military to diffuse bombs and to launch missiles to win territories and raping nature by destroying Greenland for personal profit. But covid-19 taught them that the real defense system is the human immune system which needs minerals and vitamins. Fertility of soil to crop nutritional foods for healthy human and animal bodies.
I pray over the mound of covid-19 if immune system should not be morally compromised by industry’s rape for personal profit; if health system and farming should be prioritized over false military system; if this will really be done, then I envision soil fertilization to live sustainably on this planet only known in this universe that support our kind life…
