There is a declining trend of reading newspapers, magazines, novels, short stories and other print material among the general public, particularly the youth. While it is true that people are losing interest in these valuable mediums, it is crucial to address the underlying issue: the lack of accessible resources and support systems that could help ignite and sustain their interest.

One of the key factors contributing to this decline is the absence of strong motivators and helpers who can guide and inspire students and youngsters. Unfortunately, even in regions like Sindh, such encouraging activities and mentors are scarce, making it challenging for individuals to develop their intellectual pursuits.

Children often don’t give preference to newspapers. It’s due to the absence of a conducive environment. Curriculum activities are performed but these developing activities are often discouraged. Small towns often lack the necessary infrastructure and resources that will have effect on student conceiving and compelling them to out of school. It is important to view this issue from various angles and use our observations to shed light on the situation.

Reading newspapers can greatly benefit students preparing for competitive exams such as CSS and PCS. By addressing the lack of proper education and the struggle to engage with social issues, we can pave the way for a more informed and socially conscious generation.

Moreover, the current emphasis on marks and positions has inadvertently led to an inferiority complex among students. The environment provided in schools plays a significant role in shaping students’ mental health and inhibiting their creative abilities. It is crucial to prioritize a holistic approach to education that fosters creativity and critical thinking.

By writing about social issues, endeavor offers numerous benefits. You can become the voice of the people and develop into ideological individuals and help in cultivating a more aware and empathetic society.

I encourage everyone to strive for their personal best, as finding one’s true potential often requires perseverance, determination, and resilience. The declining interest in reading and intellectual development is a concerning trend that requires immediate attention. To address this issue, we need to establish strong support systems, provide accessible resources, and encourage a conducive environment for learning. By empowering students and youngsters, we can foster their interest in reading, writing, and engaging with social issues, ultimately creating a brighter future for all.
