Korean Automobile Company selects 26 Thari boys for 2-year apprenticeship

Thar Foundation, who had extended financial and technical support to the Institute, hosts dinner for selected students in Karachi

KIA, an automobile manufacturing company of South Korea has selected 26 youths of Tharparkar for two-year internship in Karachi under its Trade Apprenticeship Program.

The twenty six students have been selected among 150 Thari students who received full scholarship for completion of their Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) at Polytechnic Institute Mithi.

First batch of Thari youth who completed Diploma in Associate Engineering from Government have been introduced in various industries.

Three years ago EEL, STEVTA and Thar Foundation jointly initiated a project of supporting Government Polytechnic Institute Mithi. Under the project, the Institute received a significant financial and technical support which resulted in improvement of faculty, infrastructure and laboratories.

Human Resource department of SECMC and Thar Foundation hosted the young professionals of Thar over a dinner in Karachi.

Thar Foundation is implementing its program with the support of Government of Sindh under the umbrella of SECMC. The program aims to positively impact lives of communities in Block-2 and adjoining areas under SDGs Framework. (PR)
