The inefficient persons, who have no required qualifications and are not acquainted with the field of education, science, technology, industries, agriculture and economics, have been handed over concerned ministries.

The qualification and experience is always needed when the government departments or private sector organizations advertise any post lying vacant. If any candidate qualifies, they even inquire, before offering an appointment order, the character of the candidate whether he was engaged in any political activity, affiliation to any political party or involvement in any social crime, and the age limit is requisite as well.

However, in politics, federal or provincial ministers, ruling the people of Pakistan, are eligible to hold the offices despite having no qualifications. They contest elections, become members of provincial and federal legislatures, and a bunch of members among them are selected to become ministers with different portfolios.

Although the country has laws for them, but the entire process takes place neglecting the laws that prohibit them even from taking part in politics. The cases of different nature are pending in the courts against them but nobody questions them.

Does it mean that these laws are not applicable to these politicians? No authority asks in what cases he is wanted? How long did he stay in jail? And while allocating portfolios, no authority considers how much expertise he has in the relevant field? Are they having qualification and experience for running the particular ministry?

This often happens in the case of allocation of ministries of education, science and technology, agriculture, industry and economics. This is evident from the how the ministries have been assigned here – in Sindh as well as other provinces and at Center. You would see none of them are eligible to hold such ministries.

The distribution of ministries is made on the basis of liking and disliking or on the demand of so-called legislator against payment of huge money, which he recovers later during his tenure, according to stories circulating in the political and social circles. Efficiency of these ministers is seen in just political statements but in practical terms they know nothing having no qualifications in related fields.

Apart from it, there is no age limit for politicians. Whatever age it may be, he is eligible to rule the people and deal with sensitive issues of the country. If we peep into history, we would come to know that due to economic failure, poverty, corruption, political instability and law and order, governments have failed. It is because of such inefficient persons sitting at the helms of affairs.

The poor policies have always made economic conditions worse, giving way to poverty, inflation, and corruption. Inefficient people could not produce strong policies. Expertise is direly needed to come up with healthy policies. If prowess hadn’t been important, it wouldn’t have been mandatory to acquire skill in a particular field and subject. Unfortunately, in our country, generation to generation, politics of interests has been practiced and prowess has never been focused. That’s why we have craptastic education, agriculture, health, and the economy of the country. Almost all the ministers, who are not acquainted with the field handed over to them, are diverted and distracted by opposition parties engaged in political tug of war on TV talk shows and statements.
