The University has offered 2-year Master’s Program for external candidates in its affiliated colleges after 2-year suspension of the program, as per instruction issued by HEC Islamabad.
The Sindh University administration has decided to conduct pre-entry test for admissions to 57 bachelor degree programs for the academic year 2022 in 2nd phase only on November 7 instead of November 6-7, 2021, as announced earlier.
According to the SU announcement, Director Admissions Dr. Ayaz Keerio said that it had been decided to take the entrance test in the second phase only on Sunday, November 7, as there were a total of 8343 candidates which could be managed easily in a single day.
He said that in the second phase, some 6531 male and 1647 female candidates were expected to appear in the test which could easily be accommodated in a single day.
According to the Director Admissions, a total number of 165 candidates who failed to appear in the entrance test in the first phase and submitted applications requesting to allow them to sit in the exam have been allowed and their seat numbers will remain the same that were allotted to them for the first phase of entrance test.
He said that a total of 187 forms had been rejected for non-payment of required admission processing fee i.e. Rs.2500 and non-submission of required documents in time.
Director Admissions further said that the Directorate of Admissions would remain open on Saturday from 8.30 am to 8.30 pm for the convenience of the candidates.
SU offers MA external program in its affiliated colleges
Meanwhile, University of Sindh Jamshoro has offered two-year Masters’ Program for external candidates in its affiliated colleges after 2-year suspension of the program, as per instruction issued by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad.
The Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Sirajul Haq Kandhro in a notification announced that the date for submission of online examination forms of MA (Previous) External Program for the academic year 2020 had been fixed November 22, 2021.
According to the notification, the fresh candidates can submit online examination forms from November 4 to 22 for the degrees of MA (Previous) External Program Annual Examinations 2020 in different subjects in the affiliated colleges.
Candidates after taking prints and completing the examination forms available in PDF from the website in the subjects of their choice for master’s degree can submit their online forms to the concerned office of their colleges.
The exam fee for fresh candidates of MA (Previous) External Program has been fixed Rs.13,000 while in the notification, the candidates who have passed their BA or BSc in 2020, have been barred to fill exam forms due to being ineligible for the program. (PR)
