The Talented and Creative Youth Sponsoring Center at the Benha University, Egypt has announced conducting the ‘Poetry Writing Skills’ training workshops.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy (President of Benha University), Prof. Dr. Tamer Samir (Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs), and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mona Nasr (Director of the Talented and Creative Youth Sponsoring Center at the University), and Dr. Walid Ahmed Samir (Director of the Literary Talents Unit at the Center), within the activities of the Literary Club and the “Making of a Writer” initiative, the Literary Talents Unit announced a group of Creative Workshops for Benha University students who are gifted in writing poetry, entitled ‘Poetry Writing Skills’, in which the poet and novelist Ashraf Aboul-Yazid will deliver lecture.

Participating students will receive certified certificates of attendance upon completion of the training, provided that the appointments are on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday (March 3, 5, and 7, 2024). The creative workshops begin at 1:30 pm at the headquarters of the Center.

The Center was established on March 26, 2022. To be an incubator for nurturing the gifted, brilliant, and creative students of the university, and to undertake to motivate, guide, and train them, and to provide the appropriate environment to develop their talents and abilities, and to hone their talents, and to provide them with the opportunity to display their creativity and innovations and market them in cooperation with the various institutions entrusted with caring for the gifted, creative, and creative people. Therefore, the Center announces its initiation of establishing a base. Data for gifted and innovative students at the university in various artistic, literary, technological, sports, and scientific fields. It is hoped that every student who is gifted, creative, innovative, or finds in himself excellence and brilliance in one of the above fields will be provided.

The special objectives of the center are to develop scientific, accurate and sustainable mechanisms to discover gifted, proficient and creative people, and to create an environment that allows the gifted to highlight their abilities and develop their potential and talents, as well as to develop the spirit of creativity to display talent locally, regionally and globally, while directing gifted students to deal with the developments of the times effectively., in addition to designing specific programs to meet their needs, develop their abilities, enhance the national belonging of the gifted, and direct their abilities for this, as well as developing the university community’s awareness of the importance of talent, genius, and creativity.

The mission of the Literary Talents Unit at the Center is the commitment to discovering the literary gifted, highlighting their creativity locally, regionally, and globally, and including them in a specialized literary club that will sponsor them with solid scientific and literary care that keeps pace with contemporary literary movements, and works on two levels at once. The first level: reveal new creative talents, The second level: the discovery of a team of researchers and critics, to create a state of debate and integration between the two levels, for the sake of an integrated product that ultimately constitutes a promising literary movement for the students of Benha University, that enhances national belonging, achieves social development, and takes into account integration between the past and the present, so that this generation stands from Talented and creative people learn about the history of literature without losing its relationship with modern developments and its vision for future development.
