An ‘Orientation Session’ was arranged on Wednesday for the new batch (2023) in the Department of Political Science, University of Sindh Jamshoro.
This introductory session was aimed at educating the new batch of Political Science regarding course and significance of Political Science discipline.
During the season faculty members from the Department of Political Science, Asghar Burfat, Dr. Bisharat Lanjwani, Dr. Imran Noonari, Hansraj, Rahib Radhan and Khalida Hira introduced the details of different courses taught at the Department of Political Science and also highlighted different committees working in the Department of Political Science regarding co-curricular activities.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. G. Akbar Mahesar, Chairman, Department of Political Science, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, talked about the utmost relevance of Political Science Discipline with job market and how the students of University of Sindh Jamshoro, in general and the students of Political Science in particular, could add to the development of Sindh and Pakistan.
Dr. Mahesar exemplified for the students that how his journey started right from a small riverine village in district Khairpur and how the discipline of Political Science, University of Sindh Jamshoro, has been pivotal in his own success and life achievement.
Dr. Mahesar advised the students to own the alma mater and the Department and not to waste time and resources on unproductive activities.
The session ended with the vote of Thanks by Dr. Bisharat Lanjwani. (PR)
