Rotten Judicial System of Pakistan

Seed of passivism sprouts because of absence of law and justice.

Justice is something that make your path clear for the survival and also it nourish societies with peace and work as peacekeeper. Dispensing justice helps to establish non-violent societies.

Once Aristotle said, “At his best, man is the noblest of all animals; separated from law and justice he is the worst.”

Ensuring justice is a world’s biggest problem. Pakistan is one of the countries where to acquire justice is not as easy task as one can imagine, and undoubtedly that’s the root cause of passivism. Seed of passivism sprouts because of absence of law and justice.

There are huge numbers of cases pending in courts unsolved while the offenders arrested by police somehow succeed to get them released. They attain bail and carry on their activities as usual. Several factors play significant role to drag the cases and hearings so long beyond the boundaries of conclusion while high fees of the lawyers too plays a role in this regard.

Moreover, because of such a feeble justice system, the Juveniles are rounded up and put in jails from where they come out as habitual to commit crime without regret. In most cases, criminals are at large and innocent persons are imprisoned and sentenced by the courts.

Transparency in police department and inside court can curb the crime. Judiciary should take the decisions without delay. We agree that it is not possible in the wink of eye but when you have all cogent evidence then delay in hearings cannot prove fruitful.

According to the media reports in June 2021 there were 51138 cases pending in Supreme Court alone. Just imagine what the number of pending cases would be in High Courts and lower courts of the country, which are said to be 2159655 as of June 2021.

The country cannot progress until justice prevails but here the people have lost every hope of justice. The rotten judicial system of Pakistan direly needs to be revamped.
