Neurosurgery department of Khairpur Medical College, first time in the history of Khairpur, conducted Spinal tumor and Transpedicular screw fixation.
Head of the Department of Neurosurgery of Khairpur Medical College Khairpur Mukhtair Ahmed Lakho while sharing the details said that earlier the cases of the Spinal Fracture and Spinal tumor and Transpedicular screw fixation were referred to Karachi because of the lack of facilities, but his department, first time in the history of the Khairpur conducted successful Surgeries of Spinal fracture and Spinal Tumor.
He said that besides a modern C-Arm Machine, they have MRI and CT Scanning facilities at KMC.
He said that his department also has planned to launch Endoscopic surgeries with the modern machine to meet the challenges of health.
He demanded the technical support from the stakeholders of the Khairpur including elected representatives and civil Society, hospital management and KMC Management to strengthen the department further.
