New heavy taxes have been imposed on everything and existing taxes increased manifold. Even the fuel prices, curtailed a month back, have again been increased from July 1, 2024. Besides, electricity and gas tariff, medicine prices are already touching the sky. The edible items, vegetables and fruits have become unreachable for the poor.

The present government has neglected the problems and issues, the common people have been facing for a very long time. A great deal of the people working in the private sector have meager salaries. They are drawing twenty-five or thirty thousand or in certain cases less than twenty thousand rupees. How will they meet their daily expenses?
It’s the anti-poor budget presented by the PML-led coalition government which came into power seeking vote on the promise of providing relief to the poor. On the contrary, the government has offered packages only to the privileged class. The government should review the budget and provide the relief to the poor.
