Migratory Birds

Every year in the winter

Migratory birds from Siberia

Visit the wetlands of Sindh

After flying thousands of miles.

This migration is so hard

They leave their homes

Come to see the beauty of Sindh

Enjoy the beautiful weather.

Seeing and listening to these beautiful birds

Is a beautiful experience.

I’m happy to see them from a far distance

When you approach them, they are afraid.

These migratory birds

They are our guests

Don’t disturb them

Let them enjoy their time.

Hunting them is strictly forbidden

Don’t support their hunting.

***

Our Guests

From Karachi to Badin Road

Poachers were standing on the side of the road

Various migratory birds in their hands

I saw pelicans, mallards and waders.

It was a painful sight

To saw these beautiful birds of Mother Nature

I was just thinking

What will people do to buy them?

Will they slaughter and eat them?

These birds will be used as special dishes

For lunch and dinner

This has made me sad.

We are here to protect these guests

It is our responsibility

Otherwise the birds will send the message

To their friends

This place is not safe

They map change their route

And, Stop coming to our lands.
