The largest socialist conference in North America is going to be held on September 2-5 this year in Chicago, which is expected to be joined by hundreds of activists, organizers, unionists, and socialists.
During the four days various sessions of discussion and debate about radical politics, history, and strategy will be held, a press release, received by Sindh Courier through e-mail, said on Wednesday.
The organizers of the conference have invited the activists from all over the world to participate in panels, lectures, and workshops on class struggle unionism, reproductive justice, working-class internationalism, debtors’ power, socialist electoral strategy, pandemic politics, capitalist crisis, tenant organizing, police and prison abolition, Black feminism, Palestinian liberation, and more.
Featured Speakers at Socialism 2022 will include Ruth Wilson Gilmore, Robin D.G. Kelley, David Harvey, Harsha Walia, Barbara Ransby, Kim Kelly, Mohammed El-Kurd, Anand Gopal, Daniel Denvir, Hadas Thier, Carlos Ramirez-Rosa, Rossana Rodriguez Sanchez, Sophie Lewis, Joe Burns, Kali Akuno, Donna Murch, Justin Akers Chacón, Ben Davis, and many more.
The Socialism Conference is being organized jointly by Haymarket Books and a range of endorsing left-wing organizations and publications, including the Democratic Socialists of America, Debt Collective, and Jewish Voice for Peace, Verso Books, Dissent and others.
