Christine Cézanne Thauss – An Austrian Artist

Christine Cézanne -Thauss was born in Vienna, Austria where she is still living. She worked as an artist, teacher and historian. Her first solo-exhibition was held at the foyer of theatre “Akzent”, Vienna, Austria. Christine Cézanne-Thauss took part in various over 100 of local and international exhibitions in Austria and many other countries worldwide like Germany, France, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, India, Italy, Russia, South-Korea, Uruguay, Panama, Columbia, Peru, Turkey, Portugal, Vietnam, the Philippines, the USA and many more.


From 2010 – 2013 she was a founding member and chairwoman of the “Vienna Travelgallery”, an art gallery located in Vienna. Together with an artist friend, she founded the “erste wiener frauenwunder”, a cooperation, which is feminist-oriented dealing with the art business.
For the 2016 – 2017 school year, she created the cover of the Viennese teachers’ pocket calendar as well as the matching class status calendar for compulsory school teachers of the FSG.


In 2022, Christie Cézanne-Thauss designed the label for “heartproject” for the Grosz winery – for every bottle sold, a portion is donated to help stray cats. In 2022 – 2023 she illustrated each crime story of the book: “32 Wien Krimis. Im Kaffeehaus” by Andrea Pierus.
The artist Christine is a member of IG-Bildende Kunst, International Association of Art to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, UNESCO.
She is also the Ambassador of Art, representing Austria, of “The Art Pivot”, a center of contemporary art and ideas, situated in India.
A lot of her works belong to public and private galleries and museums. The artists is also engaged in social projects combined with art and she works in public space.
