Columbian iconic poet Fernando Rendón, General Coordinator of the World Poetry Movement addresses members in all continents with annual greetings

Medellin, Colombia Correspondent

The Columbian iconic poet Fernando Rendón, General Coordinator of the World Poetry Movement (WPM), addressed members in all continents with an annual greetings:

“During the months of January to April 2023 we held virtual WPM conferences in Africa, Asia, Europe and America. In July we successfully held our in-person WPM world congress in Medellín, Colombia, and Caracas, Venezuela. There we discussed and approved our 2023-2028 Strategic Plan, as our central work guide in the coming time. We also elected a new Coordinating Committee (CC), with poets from all continents, including poets from Oceania.

Between September and December the global campaigns for Africa and Palestine occupied our attention. We will continue these actions.

Everyone’s spirit is strong! I send you my hug on behalf of the WPM CC and my wish for days of reflection and hugs, in the midst of the pain and resistance struggle of the brave Palestinian people. 2024 will be big. We will meet again in January!
