Bahawalpur
Pakistan Siraiki Party (PSP) organized the flood relief camp for the people of Siraiki wasib and Balouchistan from 3rd to 5th August 2022. The camp was established at Chowk Fawara Bahawalpur.
PSP Senior Vice President, Allama Iqbal Wasim, Mohammad Akram Somro Advocate, President Bahwalpur, Jam Yasir Altaf Advocate Bahwalpur District President organized this camp and actively participated. Pakistan Sariki party senior member, Haji Abdul Malik and many cadres actively joined the camp. They assured the participants, workers and party cadres that they will always be working towards the cause of voicing the plight of people belonging to wasiab primarily during these disasters.
The public actively participated with great passion for this positive cause for the betterment of Siraiki wasaib and donated in the form of cash. This activity was appreciated by the civil society. The collections of donations by this relief camp will be distributed in the areas affected by the flood.
On this occasion Allama Iqbal Wasim informed the media that the torrential rains and flash floods have impacted Siraiki wasabi. The affected areas include several cities – Taunsa, Rajanpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Dera Ismail Khan, and the entire province of Balochistan. Many casualties have taken place in the flood impacted areas. Unfortunately, the government departments are not actively supporting the affected areas in the Siraiki wasaib.
M Akram Somro Advocate said that peoples of Saraiki wasaib are in shortage of food, medicines, and shelters. Those impacted by flooding are living under the open sky without appropriate shelter for them.
Jam Yasir Altaf also expressed that the people of saraiki wasaib are in danger of facing various infections and diseases if the government does not take significant action immediately.
Other participants included, Najeeb Hashmi Advocate, Mansoor Moeen Adv Secretary General district Bahawalpur, Jam M Arshad Advocate District President Bahawalpur President Lawyer’s Wing, Choudhry. M Ashraf, Sadiq Blouch, Sardar Ahmad Mujtaba Khan Rind President Siraikistan Pakistan Aam Admi movement were present.
As a representative political party of wasaib, it was imperative for Pakistan Siraiki Party to organize this flood relief camp for the people of Siraiki wasaib and pursue the mission of Barrister Taj Mohammad Langah, says a party press release.
