Suspension orders were issued pursuing the Syndicate’s decision on probe committee’s report

Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur has suspended seven employees including a leader of Employees Union, in alleged corruption of millions of rupees in a scam of issuing bogus Examination Admit Cards in 2020.

The action has been taken on a report submitted by a probe committee to the Vice chancellor of the Shah Abdul Latif University (SALU) Khairpur Prof Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto.

The sources in SALU confided that the Vice Chancellor had formed a probe committee by taking notice of the reports of issuance of bogus Examination Admit Cards to Examination Centers of Government Degree College Badah and Government Degree College Pano Aqil. The -members probe committee was led by Prof Dr. Pir Bux Ghumro.

Reports said that probe committee members Prof Dr. Zulfiqar Shah, Prof Dr. Masiullah Junejo, Prof Syed Saddar Shah and Muhammad Hassan Halepoto Controller Examination Wing SALU, recovered fake Examination Admit Cards, recorded the statements of the administration of the affiliated colleges of Badah and Pano Aqil and the statements of the accused Employees of the Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur and fixed the charges against Qalandar Bux Bozdar, President, Employees Welfare Association, Computer Operator Finance Wing, Tufail Muhammad Mangi, Store Keeper Examination Wing, Zubair Junejo clerk cum Typist, Abdul Basit Khilji Sub-engineer Engineering Wing, Sardar Ali Rind Clerk cum Typist Examination Wing, Arab Ali Phulpoto Assistant Security Officer, Security Section and Ali Raza Junejo Security Guard Security Section.

Reports said that the probe team found that 1500 to 2000 fake Examination Admit Cards were issued causing financial loss worth millions of rupees to the University. The probe team along with their proposed punishment note had submitted their report at Vice Chancellor Secretariat.

On 4th December such report was presented before the 83rd meeting of Syndicate of Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur which took serious notice and showing grave concern over the issuance of bogus admit slips to the students of various colleges in the Annual Examinations 2020 by University officials, recommended to deal the issue as per rules.

Reports said that on Monday, Registrar of the Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur by pursuing the proposed recommendation of the Syndicate issued the suspension orders.

It is learnt from the reliable Sources in Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur that in the Annual Examinations of the University in the past, such incidents had been taking place which caused millions of rupees financial loss to the University but the probe teams did not bother to make public the inquiry reports because of the pressure of the then Vice Chancellors.
