A Thari Youth Honored With Highest Award of Indus Valley School of Art

Danish Shivani clinches Founders’ Award by his distinguished work at Karachi’s Art & Architecture Institute

The award, Danish has been honored with, is bestowed to only a single student every year.

Dansh Sangji Shivani Soteharr, a student hailing from desert district Tharparkar, has not only graduated at Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture Karachi but also clinched the Founders’ Award by his distinguished work, and having earned fame in the world.

Daneesh-Shivani-Sindh-CourierDaneesh-Shivani-Sindh-Courier-1Danish, who is from Vesasar, a small village of Tharparkar, has been depicting daily life and flora and fauna of desert in his art work.

Daneesh-Shivani-Sindh-Courier-2Daneesh-Shivani-Sindh-Courier-3Danish had to face criticism and taunting when he decided to enter into world of art, but now the people of his area feel proud and rejoice his success, as the award, he has been honored with, is bestowed to only a single student every year. He has achieved the goal by hard work and his passion for art and love for natural beauty of Thar Desert.

The Founders’ Award is the highest award of the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture.
