Exchange of firing continues and more killings and injuring of the dacoits expected – SSP Ghotki

Ghotki Police shot dead a dacoit and injured seven others while one cop also sustained injuries during ongoing operation against the dacoits in the riverine areas on Friday.
SSP Ghotki Tanveer Hussain Tunio said that Ghotki Police in the Katcha (Riverine) area of the Ranvati near Obauro in district Ghotki had received secret information by Intelligent Bureau about the presence of the dacoits. When the police cordoned the area, the criminals opened fires at police to manage escape, however police retaliated. Heavy contingent of the police was immediately moved to back-up the fighting police party along with APCs chain and other required equipment.
He said that that in the exchange of firing three dacoits were injured, identified as Arbelo s/o Ahmed Din Hyderani Shar, Gullo S/o Bakhat Ali Hyderani Shar, Karam S/o Dilawar Sonani Shar, the gang members of the Rahib Shar, who is involved in the martyrdom of the policeman, while four other injured not yet identified.
One Police Constable Sher Muhammad Kobhar also sustained injuries due to the hitting of empty shell of rocket launchers.
The injured PC was shifted to Shaikh Zaid Hospital Rahim Yar Khan for treatment.
SSP said that exchange of firing was continuing and apprehended the more killings and injuring of the dacoits.
SSP Tanveer Hussain Tunio said that he also took notice of the viral video on Social media in which one dacoit was killed and killing of two abductees in the limits of police dtation Machka near Picket No: 02 at the site of Moza Sikandar Chachar in Rahimyar Khan District of Punjab, and ordered Sub-Divisional Police Officer SDPO to investigate the viral video and directed him to recover the dead bodies of the abductees and injured abductee and hostage in the captivity of dacoits.
He said that killed Dacoit Natho Shar was wanted in the killings of the policeman and other heinous cases of kidnapping for ransom, highway robberies.
He said that in a Viral Video the abductees saying that they had took a riffle of dacoit Natho Shar when he slept and with same riffle after killing him attempted to escape away but were chased by the accomplices of the killed dacoits and they later shot dead their two abductees.
SSP Ghotki said that his team recovered dead bodies of the two abductees identified as Yasin S/o Sanaullah Rajput resident of Faisalabad and Ikram.
He said that police also recovered injured abductees Mubarak S/o Sikandar Mughul resident of Tobatek Singh Punjab who was shifted to Shaikh Zaid hospital Rahimyarkhan.
He said that Ghotki Police also recovered Rizwan Qureshi resident of Faisalabad, Sajjid Abbas S/o Allah Wadhayo Rind resident of Multan and Waris S/o Muhammad Yousif Mughul resident of Sheikhopura.
SSP said that his team in Katcha area of Ranvati launched operation to arrest the dacoits involved in the killings of the two abductees.
Meanwhile IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon and DIG Sukkur Javed Sonharo Jiskani praised the action of the Ghotki Police in recovery of the abductees from the captivity of criminals.
