Awareness Session on Women Harassment was held recently at U.S. – Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies in Water, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro in collaboration with Girls Rescue Center, Jamshoro.
Dr. Tania Mushtaque from IBA, Prof. Nabi Bux Narejo, Chairman, Criminology, University of Sindh, Ms. Marvi Awan, Executive Director, WPC, Sindh and Jahangir Ansari, DSP, Girls Rescue Center, Sindh were the guest speakers besides representatives from Girls Rescue Center, Jamshoro.
Prof. Dr. Kamran Ansari, Co-Director of USPCAS-W, MUET, welcomed all the speakers and guests. Dr. Uzma Imran, Assistant Professor, USPCAS-W, MUET and Focal Person, Gender Equity Committee, briefed about the Gender Policy of MUET that provides equal opportunity to all females.
The session aimed to raise awareness among women to end harassment at the workplace and educational institutes and ensure their protection and freedom of study and work. (PR)
